The Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (N.B.K.) was founded in 1969 with the intent to promote contemporary art and discourse surrounding the art world. The space is comprised of three elements, the “Artothek,” “Videothek” and a more formal gallery space. Their “Artothek” includes a collection 4,000 pieces large that regularly go on loan free of charge. Additionally, their “Video Forum” houses a collection of over 1,000 video works that can be accessed through their digital library.

The space hosts a range of exhibitions that regularly surprise and impress, often engaging in more politically charged topics. N.B.K. views itself as an artist advocacy space and is home to a residency program in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.
