At its premises on Auguststrasse me Collectors Room Berlin has been presenting The Olbricht Collection through an ongoing series of regularly rotating exhibitions. Among the most comprehensive in Europe, the collection encompasses works from the early 16th Century through to recent contemporary art.
Great names, such as John Currin, Eric Fischl, Franz Gertsch, Cindy Sherman, Marlene Dumas or Gerhard Richter hang alongside new discoveries such as Corinne von Lebusa, Tomoko Nagai, Rachel Goodyear and Jonas Burgert. Rich in diversity, the collection covers a multiplicity of artistic media from painting, sculpture, photography, installation, to new media.
Unlike a museum or a municipal art gallery in the conventional sense, me Collectors Room pushes to create a world of experience, thus opening itself up for collectors, curators, and anyone exploring the broad field of art to exchange ideas and engage in conversation. The generous exhibition space spread across two floors also includes a café, shop and lounge area, ideal to relax in after all the visual stimuli.
