Künstlerhaus Bethanien
Hospitalized art

Founded in 1974, Künstlerhaus Bethanien is an artist space in Kreuzberg housed in a refurbished hospital originally built in 1847. The venue includes a large exhibition space, which regularly houses curated exhibitions and group shows.

However, the primary function of the entire space that they occupy in the former hospital is an residency program for young artists. With regular shows in both the main space and in artists studios, Künstlerhaus Bethanien’s exhibitions are consistently interesting and engaging.
