Konrad Fischer’s original gallery space in Düsseldorf has been a historical location for European debuts of significant minimal and conceptual artists for decades, and this second gallery space in Berlin often hosts exhibitions that are equally as cutting-edge.
Throughout the decades, KF has consistently welcomed challenging and interesting artists—both known and relatively obscure— and this tradition has well and truly continued since the opening of their outpost in Berlin, which has hosted many artists and attempts to provide an overview of the original gallery’s forty year history.
Exhibiting artists have included renowned photographers Bernd and Hilla Becher and Arte Povera artists like Mario Merz and Jannis Kounellis. The original gallery’s legacy of hosting artists from a wide spectrum, that are willing to push the envelope and challenge traditional thinking on modern art practices, is keeping the Konrad Fischer Galeries at the forefront of contemporary art in Germany.
