In continuation of its long-standing involvement with the German art scene, Mikael Andersen opened his Berlin based offshoot in September 2007. Since its inception in Copenhagen in 1987, the gallery has collaborated with esteemed artists such as Martin Kippenberger, Isa Genzken, Albert Oehlen, Gunther Förg and Cosima von Bonin.
Inspired by the dynamic dialogue with representatives of the German art world, Andersen increased his activities by intermingling with the bustling Berlin art scene. Noteworthy recent pieces on show include the colorful paintings of African artist Mustafa Maluka and the large-scale installations by Elisabeth Toubro.
