Founded in the roaring ’20s, the Friedrichstadtpalast is a Berlin landmark. Located in the heart of Mitte and surrounded by an abundance of historic locales, it was here that Marlene Dietrich made her revue stage debut. Juliette Gréco, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Gilbert Bécaud are just a few of the countless top international stars who have performed on this legendary stage.
The hall was renovated in the ‘80s, increasing the seating capacity to nearly 2000 and, unfortunately, morphing the venue’s exterior into the eyesore that it is today. Numerous stages front an arena space, which is nearly the size of a football field and capable of facilitating an ice rink or swimming pool. Full service entertainment and a rich history of amazement.
