Eiszeit Kino
Side street cinema

This tiny Kreuzberg movie theater is hidden on a side street courtyard and screens some of Berlin’s best film programs. From contemporary European and international cinema, to retrospectives, arthouse and documentary festivals, the projectors at Eiszeit never stop rolling. Lectures, readings and workshops round out their extensive programming keeps the cinéastes coming back.

It’s hard work bringing all this culture to the masses, so Eiszeit even has its own song to motivate the proletariat of the projector. If you memorize their Einheitsfrontlied, you too can sing along during intermissions.

“Un weil der Prolet ein Prolet ist,
Drum wird ihnkein anderer befrein,
Es kann die Befreiung der Arbeiter nur
Das Werk der Arbeiter sein!”
