Deep in the wilds of Neukölln lies the enigmatically interdisciplinary art space, Der Kanal. Fitted out with a darkroom, a musical recording studio, a mysterious “moisture lab” and work spaces for international artists, it puts on periodic happenings whose title often begins with “How did I…”, evoking their slightly absurdist “Do-It-Yourself” ethos.

Comprising of nine artists, this upstart space hosts interdisciplinary events and has its sights set on developing innovative and collaborative networks.
