DAZ (short for Deutsches Architektur Zentrum) is a platform for exhibitions, conferences and educational programs examining issues and trends in contemporary architecture in Germany and around the world. Established by the Alliance of German Architects, the center encourages the dialogue between architecture and design by examining their contribution to urbanization, sustainability and cultural identity.

The Scharoun and Taut rooms hold exhibitions documenting classic and current architectural projects, as well as educational and lecture programs. The DAZ Glashaus, on the other hand, is devoted to special programs including a series of exhibitions presenting the work of young architects.

DAZ’s prime location in a rapidly developing area by the Spree is fitting to understand the impact of contemporary architecture—and also to experience it firsthand.
