Berlinale Palast
A courtship with the red carpet

With its modern glass facade and elegantly sloped roof, the Theater in der Spielbank transforms for two weeks into the Berlinale Palast—the perfect home for the famed Berlin Film Festival. When the theater isn’t rolling out the red carpet for stars, it serves as a venue for musicals and other theater productions. Ready to shine though, it is the largest and most prestigious venue of the Berlinale.

The big building stands as a proud backdrop for photographers and fans to align as the stars arrive for premieres. The Palast also lays claim to the site of the awards ceremony, as well as where the wildest parties take place in the glamorous downstairs club, Adagio.
