Sitting unassumingly in the gallery locale of Mitte, Berlin-Weekly is an art space not exactly playing by the conventional rules of its neighbours. For starters, their exhibitions are on show 24 hours a day and you don’t even have to leave the house to see them. All that’s needed is an internet connection.
The installations come from carefully audited contemporary artists who form the crux of Berlin-Weekly’s window, photo, quote, and tip of the week, all propagated on their online stage.
Luckily for the Berlin luddites, they still bow to tradition and open the gallery for some good old fashioned shows to be enjoyed in the flesh. But for armchair enthusiasts and the laptop generation, the ever-illuminated online exhibition is ideal for critiquing contemporary art from your living room, whenever you want.
