Sharing The Old East Brewery with Styx, 91mQ is in good artistic company. Unlike Styx and its echoes of “old school” Berlin, the Italian art duo behind 91mQ put the spotlight firmly on international collaborations. With that in mind, there is a constant ebb and flow of ideas and projects imported from galleries and creative hotspots from outside Germany.

When they’re not exhibiting their latest exchanges, 91mQ get their hands dirty planning for the future, researching electronic contemporary music and video, and hosting festivals for contemporary music from around the world.

The combination of Styx’s quintessential Berlin style and the international wind that blows in from 91mQ—its close neighbor—creates a seminal East-Berlin niche for art enthusiasts.
