A club and restaurant housed in a former Deutsche Postfuhramt building post-WWII that oozes with Berlin charm, of the dilapidated Eyes Wide Shut-variety. Graceful moldings and an intimidating dome arch over swirling partygoers on weekend nights, while the white-linens and candelabras are reserved for weekdays when an elegant dinner is served starting at 8pm with a full wine list.
Once the location for Dave LaChapelle’s 2006 exhibition, “Men, War & Peace,” alongside Helmut Newton and James Nachtwey, Rodeo may have lost some of its red-hot luster (the cheesy ‘90s hits favored by the DJs don’t help) but still makes for a magnificent setting for those who prefer a bit of glam with their partying.
Rodeo can be hard to find, so here’s a tip: it’s housed in the same building as C/O Gallery, but the entrance is through a fenced courtyard in the back of the building, on Auguststraße.
