The latest venture from the trio responsible for Kleine Reise, Loftus Hall, is hidden along an otherwise barren strip of the Maybachufer. Its name, a definite reference to the club’s rather ominous location, takes its inspiration from a supposedly haunted mansion in Ireland.
There’s not much indication as to its location aside from the two burly doormen that stand guard outside the gates, waiting to welcome you in. Inside, step back in time with old wood paneling, fake flowers and sherry glasses that appear untouched since the location first opened fifty years ago as an original Berliner Kneipe. Intended as Kleine Reise’s debaucherous sidekick, its rapidly growing following is attracted by lineups featuring a wide variety of DJs from boutique electronic labels.
