Located in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg, the former cinema charms the revolving door of bands and visitors at the same time; the club’s dancefloor is large enough to accommodate swirling partygoers while also being intimate enough to dissuade the inevitable mosh pit. Lido opened in May 2006 but has already played host to a number of veritable international acts, mostly of the Last Night’s Party variety, including Hercules and Love Affair, M83, The Wombats and Beatsteaks.

An expansive outdoor deck area—equipped with a foosball table and furnished with old movie-theater seats—is a shabbily thrown-together production, but nevertheless makes for a relaxing break from the big party, especially during the venue’s popular Balkan Beats night on Saturdays.
