The name of this tiny bar located in the heart of Mitte is a little misleading, but KingSize is a well-known haven for those looking for a more intimate party setting. Although its position is clearly marked by surrounding gaudy establishments like the Oskar Wilde pub and Friedrichstadtpalast, KingSize is not the easiest bar to stumble upon, you’ll find no flashy neon sign pointing you in the right direction—just a small door bearing no name.
Once inside you’ll be greeted by a modestly sized yet well-stocked bar (we recommend their excellent Moscow Mule), a couple of bar stools, a DJ and what seems like a small space for dancing—although you’ll be shocked what the human body can be capable of when quality music and spatial restrictions come into play. A surefire destination as far as the playlists are concerned, KingSize rarely disappoints when it comes to making you and the rest of the well-heeled weekenders move to the upbeat disco, house and techno.
