Farbfernseher is mistakenly still taken as an insiders’ secret, probably because of the original store sign out front for color televisions that promises some hidden nightlife wonderland. Yet the myth will demystify in a blink when you encounter a seemingly interminable line, a rugged doorman and a crammed, heated party going off in this petite bar/club.
The pros? Put simply, there’s no escaping the boogie zone since you’re thrust straight into the micro-sized dancefloor, illuminated by their trademark glowbulb lighting installation, as soon as you enter. The crowd is an easygoing mix of unpretentious party animals who come fully prepared to flex to the racy electro/techno mixes on the stairs, on the mezzanine where the bar is, or in whatever spare inch of floorspace they can win the battle for when the heat is on.
If it weren’t that crowded you could enjoy making some more extended dance moves, but the club is simply inside-out minimal, which is what the hype is all about.
