Deceptively, given its name, CD Drome carries one of the better vinyl collections of electronic music in Barcelona, less for its size than for its meticulously selected material. The actual CD section is largely focused on indie, americana and post-rock. The staff posts quality recommendations on the walls above the racks, which, inclined to recognize the best in each genre, from Will Oldham to Mouse On Mars, tend to offer advice worth taking.

The staff members are commonly active in the local music scene, and will happily impart knowledge devoid of the sort of snobbery that can ruin a trip to a trendy record shop. It’s also a one-stop shop for flyers and tickets for local gigs, and as such can be considered an indispensable resource for visiting music enthusiasts.
