The Imprevist (meaning ‘The Unexpected’) is a restaurant/gallery hybrid that terms itself “a space dedicated to the discovery of new sensations through taste, smell, music, meditation and dialogue.”
If this sounds a tad lofty, then rest assured that it at least delivers real ambiance and quality food. The art on display could likewise be justified as an exhibition in its own right. The architecture is splendid, combining robust stone walls and columns with artful lighting and modern embellishments. For such an ambitious offering the prices are in all fairness very reasonable, varying between the mid-day menu in the week, at €9.50, making it easy enough to test the unexpected, seeing as a decent meal is in any case guaranteed.
