Federal is a cafe, lunch spot, restaurant and bar run by two Australians who were inspired by a small Australian village. Their intention was to recreate a place in Barcelona that reflects the dream-like oasis and quiet streets of its Australian namesake, lovingly paying attention to details. The cafe serves large glasses of fresh coffee served with pure milk, large portions of food and great cupcakes on the varied menu. The minimal design and big windows of the three-floor open plan venue in the calm neighbourhood of Sant Anti create a relaxing atmosphere. The real gem, however, is the roof terrace; the perfect place to have a drink and gaze at the passers-by.
