Skaters and writers of the world unite and rejoice! Well, let’s not forget the children and seniors that also enjoy this landmark park with the three tall chimneys overlooking the buzzing activities occurring at their base. Located at the foot of Montjuic, the park reincarnated in its actual form since 2003.
Facilities include a playground, ping pong tables, basketball courts, a public stage, extensive rolling ground and ledges and a bounty of walls—a much sought-after luxury downtown Barcelona. Although the space is public, the designs on the walls have to be approved by the local district, hence keeping a high artistic standard. The last three years the park has been the location for Urban Funke, a street culture festival in which music, art, and street sports are the protagonists.
