Since first opening to the public in the 1980s, this park has been regarded as a neighborhood meeting point for locals and an oasis of nature in the concrete Horta-Guinardo district.
Stroll around the various fountains and creative playgrounds. Get a sense for the diverse patrons of the park by mingling with the petanca players and dog walkers enjoying and sharing the space. Basketball courts and a fronton wall are also available and constantly in use; the latter predominantly claimed by the Navarran community to play ‘pelota vasca’ (handball). Most of the park’s perimeter walls serve as a street canvas in which local and foreign graffiti artists leave their imprints and messages to the city.
