Museu de la Xocolata
Chocolate lovers unite

Does chocolate play a large role in your life? Do you feel like its cultural impact has been overlooked? Then here’s your must-see museum. The intoxicating sweet, and to some, aphrodisiac, is honored in all its glory at the Museu de la Xocolata (Chocolate Museum), first opened in 2000 by Barcelona’s Confectionary Guild, the Gremio Provincial de Pastelería y Confitería de Barcelona.

The Chocolate Museum is the first facility of its kind in Catalonia, and thanks to the efforts of Guild members and their supporters, offers a mouthwatering range of confectionery delights, highlighting the history and modernization of the phenomenal sweet. The museum’s delicate design and prime location are testament to the importance of chocolate, and the unequivocal impact of a sugar rush.
