Casa Asia is a public consortium, made up of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Catalonian Autonomous Government (Generalitat), the Barcelona City Council and the Madrid City Council, that aims at promoting the knowledge and development of the relations between Spain and the countries of Asia and the Pacific in institutional, cultural, educational and economic fields. This institution was created in Barcelona on 9th November 2001 and it is within the framework of the objectives established in the Asia-Pacific Action Plan 200-2002.
