Every Thursday night, Sala Apolo plays host to its notorious Powder Room Sessions. Playing funk, soul and R & B, this is a night for some spirited partying and dancing, and it doesn’t let up ’til 6 in the morning.

Powder Room regularly attracts international DJs to the lineup, including notorious British vinyl digger, Keb Darge, who has a regular slot. An insider’s tip is to head to nearby lounge-bar Mau Mau beforehand, where club passes or a bar membership can be picked up, offering discounted or free entry.
