Protege of the Paris and London label and shop Kokon to Zai, Destination Shop’s owner, Macedonian-born Robert Risteski sought to create a sister store in Amsterdam. Opened in 2008, the blip of a boutique compliments its siblings nicely, even carrying many of the same labels, including KTZ, Marjan Pejoski and Kokon to Zai.

Envisioning his shop as a three-dimensional “monthly magazine,” Risteski’s curated shop plays his designer mainstays—Horace, Daniel Palillo, Ostwald Helgason, Prisoner of Saint Petersbourg and Mundi, among others—against a monthly “designer in residence.” With this rotating structure, the shop is eternally fresh, featuring many one-off pieces and other lifestyle accessories and art like magazines, jewelry, sunglasses and video works.
