An alter to artist’s publications, Boekie Woekie specializes in artist’s books—primarily self-published works. With each of the thousands of titles sold on consignment, this shrine to the handmade art of publishing is home to cramped tables and shelves filled to the brim with creative treasures.
More a place for collectors than window shoppers, it is nevertheless easy to lose a few hours browsing the delicate, hand-sewn and zine-like artistic musings made by both local and international figures.
Not wanting to turn their backs on their original calling, the owners also host small exhibitions and in-store readings.
