Femke founded My Little Underground in 2009, an agency that provides consultancy services and concepts specialising in co-creative projects. Her recent activities include events organizing, club nights in Paris, Berlin and London and promoting Dutch artists. She is also a consultant, DJ and promoter. Under the moniker Strange Boutique, which she founded with graphic designer and fellow DJ Nicole Martens, they have a few residencies in Amsterdam and have collaborated with visual artists like Monica Tormell and fashion designers LEW. A club and bar in Amsterdam, it’s basically a place where the whole creative scene in Amsterdam like DJs, artists and graphic designers hang out
This is a club that is part of an artist’s private members’ club called the King – now the back part of the building is open to the public – I do parties here!
This is an amazing garden, during the summer they run a program of outdoor events. And you can see bands play live here too!
It’s a hidden gem, you’ll barely notice the door because it’s painted black. They program a lot of live acts as well as DJs here, so there’s always something great going on.
One of my favorite buildings in town, it looks super industrial. You feel like you’re in Berlin or a warehouse in New York. They program fine art, cinema and amazing club nights—there’s something for everyone.
Minibar is lined with about 45 mini fridges, you get a key when you come in, and with your key you have your own personal bar. So when you leave you drop off the key and pay for the damage you’ve done!
W139 is one of the most important galleries we have in Amsterdam, and they have great parties.
This is an online radio station based in a former red light window, they broadcast from there, live.
