It will take a good two hours to sieve through all that is on display at Rembrandt’s house but for those who appreciate masterful etchings, art history, or just nosing through the private home of one of Europe’s greatest painters, this is an ideal spot to while away an afternoon.

A generous loan from the George and Ilone Kremer Collection in 2010 means there will always be an original Rembrandt on display, as well as copious works by his tutors and students, amid the carefully reconstructed and authentic 17th-century interior.
